Course: Introduction to Data Mining with Compumine Rule Discovery System™ For new and old users of RDS™ wishing to get a flying start in getting real data mining results with RDS, and a better understanding of the statistics behind RDS.
The course consists of one half-day of interactive lectures and one half-day of hands-on computer exercises with using RDS on data. Although Compumine will provide real-world data, participants are encouraged to bring their own data to the computer exercises.
The objective of this course is to quickly enable you to use RDS productively for classification and regression.
After this one-day course the participant will:- Understand the basics of how RDS constructs rule-based prediction models from data.
- Construct various types of prediction models from data of various characteristics.
- Be able to interpret the models and results generated by RDS.
- Be able to validate prediction models in order to estimate the predictive performance.
- Apply prediction models to new data in order to improve decision-making.
